Japan-o-rama

That's what I would have called our 3-month focus on Japanese programs/culture/science/music/theater at the Smithsonian. I guess that didn't go over well... But if you want to check out Japan WOW! Opening Concert and Reception this Saturday, let me know. divine chocolate, a company specializing in organic, fair trade fine chocolate, is hosting a chocolate tasting tuesday, feb. 6th at at biagio fine chocolate (1904 18th street) which, according to my source, is the most divine chocolate store ever (much like this is the longest sentence ever written).

Free Sufjan Show! 02.05.07

OK, so I can't take credit for the tip on this one - Dr. van nasty tole me about it last night, and I almost choked on my beer. Millenium Stage/Kennedy Center is giving away free tix, 2 per customer, this Saturday from 9-10am. He's playing the Opera House, which technically seats 2350, but who knows if they're giving away the whole thing. The actual concert is 9pm on Feb 5.
